I uploaded an obituary to Alvin's profile. I also uploaded a 50 yr anniversary for one of his daughters. I don't have time to create a profile for her, so I hope you can move it to her profile later.
The only mention of his wife's death that I could find was a brief Card of Thanks date: 07/06/1892
page: 3, col.3 "We kindly thank the friends and neighbors who assisted us during the death and burial of our wife and mother. Alvin Miller and family."
If you are expanding the family sideways, a brief paragraph on p. 2 of 02/10/1892 gives name/location clues: "Mr E.F. Trayer and bride of Mt Carroll, Ill., return home today after spending a few days with their uncle, A. Miller and family.
His granddaughter Jennie is mentioned as a member of Sons And Daughters Of Temperance many times in 1891 (& likely other years)
P. 4, 05/13/1891, column 2, brief line: "Mr. Alvin Miller, who has been seriously ill for some time past is able to be out doors again. And again p.4 04/20/1892 "Alvin Miller who was reported dangerously sick in our last is on the gain."
All news is from The Mukwonago Chief.
