Is there an interest in the last names Dieckmann, Diekmann, Dieckman, Diekman, Dickman and / or similar?

I have a few of those in my ancestry and was wondering if others were interested in that last name. Since the last name’s meaning is dweller at or near a dike or embankment, I am assuming that originates from multiple places, not a single location. Hence a Y-DNA study seems to make a lot of sense, too, to help improve our understanding of the different lineages of that name?

If you are a Dieckmann, Diekmann, Diekman, Dieckman or Dickman or have an interest could you please leave a short response please?

Thank you,

Sven

Are you including the New Netherlands Dykman/Dyckman families in your study?  An example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dykman-26
