G2G: A second wife?

I have Lloyd Ward, SR. 1751-1839 also married to "unknown" Ward, and they had a daughter Ruth (Ward) Anderson - 1778 - deceased.

He is my 7th generation direct ancestor. Is the above information, correct? My family wasn't into genealogy much, but my mom did make a few notes here and there.

Jon, it sounds like you're onto something here!  The Lloyd Ward you linked fits with your information very well, but I'm not sure about the second wife theory because your Ruth would fit nicely between the 1st and 2nd children on the profile, and since you claim an unknown wife as Ruth's mother, I don't see why she couldn't be the child of the first wife.

Of course, I don't know anything about the time or place or this family, but I also see that there are 2 very active profile managers.  If you write to them, working together you should be able to resolve all the information.

I am going to discount the second wife theory. Some of my information came from my mother, who showed some degree of dementia for years. And some info came from imported data, so either of those sources could be suspect. I think someone simply didn't know her name, put unknown, and it carried down the line till I got it, and I thought there was a second wife - when there wasn't.
