G2G: FULL SAVE button doesn't work when it's in a certain spot on my screen?

When I edit a profile and scroll down, then click the "FULL SAVE" button under the edit screen, sometimes the button doesn't work. When this happens the button is usually in the top 1/4 of my screen. (This may be a coincidence or an issue.) I can click in different locations of the button but it doesn't work.

If I mouse-scroll the page so the button is visible lower on my screen, now I click the button and it works fine. (Note, I haven't typed in anything else or edited the contents in any way.)

It feels like this is a fairly recent problem, perhaps it started when they added the SAVE DRAFT button.

This is only a minor annoyance and I can live with it. But I thought I'd post this, in case someone else is having the same issue and might be wondering about it.

I'm on a Windows system and using Google Chrome as my browser. I have extensions: Sourcer, Wikitree BEE, and Wikitree Browser Extension. ~ Deb

Hi Deb. When it doesn't work, is the FULL SAVE: COMMIT CHANGES button white on grey, or white on black?

I think I have seen something like that before. Is the browser window on a second monitor? Possibly restarting your browser might fix the issue.

It's white on black, and when I hover on it, it turns white on green as if it's about to save properly. When I actually click on it the button flashes as if it recognizes the click, however the edit doesn't save.

Good catch, I am indeed using a second screen (a monitor hooked up to my laptop.) When I dragged the browser over to my laptop screen (just now) and then clicked FULL SAVE, it then worked properly. I'm not sure how to restart the browser, please advise. I do shut down my laptop every night, perhaps that's sufficient? Deb

Are you using a Mac. There is known problem like this on 2nd monitors on Mac I think

No, it's an Acer Windows laptop, about 3 years old, all updates made.

It sounds a similar problem - where the position of the mouse cursor on the 2nd monitor is not exactly corresponding to the position that the browser thinks it is in. There may also be something odd about that button that makes it more sensitive to the location.

I am using a Mac, with Safari. Have this problem now, but saved from edit screen on 4 other profiles within the last hour.

This happened a month ago and I just let it go because few changes. But this evening I have been merging and I did lots of clean up.  I will leave the page open when I shut down and see what happens.

Oh, this is interesting. There have been lots of reports about the "Full Save" button not working for various people, and I haven't been able to figure out a cause. But I didn't consider the location of the button on the screen!
