G2G: Was the Wiki Bee Auto Bio removed?

The button to create the Auto Bio is missing. I have restarted my browser and haven't changed any of my settings. Wiki Bee is still installed and not disabled. Has it been removed?

I set the last BEE update to open the update space page, which says "Removed Auto Bio and Date Converter because they are now in WBE" (or something similar).  If that page didn't open, I'm sorry.  Unfortunately, due to a strange bit of bad luck, the WBE, which is usually approved in the Chrome Store almost instantly, is currently waiting to be approved and has been that way for about 25 hours now.  To use the new WBE Auto Bio now, you can install the Preview version, which has been updated with bug fixes three times since the stable version was submitted.

Sorry about the trouble.

Thanks for your patience and hard work Ian.  It must be frustrating.

Thank you so much Ian! It didn't pop up for me, but I do appreciate your patient explanation. It still says "Preview." I also noticed that I now have two of the Wikitree Browser extensions (one does not say preview). Should I delete the  one that does not say Preview? Also, I notice that you refer to this as Bee. But I have a separate (3rd) extension called "Bee". It has a little bee icon. It usually lets me copy citations from FindAGrave in Wikitree preferred format, but has some other features. Is that being replaced or is that a completely different plugin? And then I also have the Wikitree Sourcer, which lets me do the same - but on several family tree sites.

Also, I noticed that the old "Autobio" button still isn't there, but there is one under "Biography." However, that strips the household tables out of the census data and adds them like they are separate sources? Is this expected behavior?

I do gotta say, I love all the work you devs do on this website!

You should have only one of the WBE versions enabled.

I was referring to WikiTree BEE as the BEE... This one is WikiTree Browser Extension, which I call WBE as I get tired of typing it out in full.

Please tell me more (either by email or on Discord) about how you think the Auto Bio strips something of something. I hope it's clear that the Auto Bio doesn't delete anything. It gives a suggested (possibly/hopefully) good base to build on. If there is something in the original bio that should be in the new bio, please copy and paste it in. If you regret hitting the Auto Bio button, there is an 'Undo Auto Bio' button.

Thanks, Ian. I have used the undo already. Thank you.

I don't have Discord, so sent you a private message through wikitree since I don't have your direct email.

Problem solved by going direct to the Wikitree App site.

Norm, what site is that?

Yes, Norm. What are you talking about?
