Bloomer Boyd can be found from 1900 to 1940 in census data with his wife Fanny. They were married abt 1896 so Maggie Dale must have died prior to that date and after 1891 when Clark was born.
'Bloamer' Boyd is living with the Rice family in 1880 - listed as 'son' to Sam Rice and Ellen Rice. All the other children are 'Rice' - indicating that Ellen might have remarried to Mr. Rice after something happened to Mr. Boyd. In 1870, Ellen Boyd is living in MO with 4 children, no clarification as to widow or married. One of her sons is 'Blew Boyd' born the correct year as the Bloomer Boyd who married Fanny. Maybe her husband Mr. Boyd died during the Civil War. These pieces may or may not be part of your puzzle. Good Luck Example below:
