Back in 2019, several comments on John Whitmore's profile questioning the connection of four of the five children attached as John's children. Son John was deeded land by his father, so his connection is not in question.
* Ann Whitmore & Mary Whitmore first appear in records when they married in Ipswich in 1644 and 1647 respectively. (I haven't seen any records indicating that John had a connection to Ipswich).
* Francis Whitmore - seems only to be of Cambridge (no known association of John Whitmore with Cambridge).
* Thomas Whitmore - in 1641, it's documented that he owned land adjoining John Whitmore in Wethersfield. From Moore and Allied Families (1938), "The basis of a theory of a relationship between John and Thomas is that Thomas and John1 held adjoining land in Wethersfield about 1640, and Thomas and John2 were both living in Hartford about 1646 and 1647. As evidence, it is somewhat indecisive, yet as a coincidence somewhat curious."
Unless new evidence has come to light since 2019, I suggest detaching children Ann, Mary & Francis.
In the case of Thomas, it does seem likely that he is related to John, but not necessarily as father and son. I would personally lean towards severing the connection, but I suppose a case could be made to keep him attached but the relationship marked uncertain.
