This data puts Scott-23161 death at 1847, far sooner than 1873. If Scott-23161 is buried in Scotland, then he did not emigrate to Canada and die in 1873 I located marriage records for Scott-23161 with his wife as Jane Jobson on 3 Feb 1825.

There are several different Walter Scott conflated in this profile.  The Walter Scott baptised in Castleton, Roxburghshire in 1803 was the son of a Walter Scott and Grizy Cozier<ref>'''Birth or Baptism''': "Church of Scotland: Old Parish Registers - Births and Baptisms," database, National Records of Scotland, (https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ : accessed 13 April 2023), Walter Scott born or baptised on 23 Sep 1803, son of Walter Scott & Grizy Crozier, in Castleton, Roxburghshire, Scotland; citing Parish Number 784, Ref 10/60, Frame 65.</ref>

He was NOT the son of the novelist & Marguerite Charlotte etc etc

I cannot find any sources. For Grizey Crozier.    Does anyone have any other information?
