G2G: Pre 1500 Baird family of Scotland - can you help?

While working on dateless profiles, came across this father - son pair. Profile manager has been gone a couple of years, and never responded to a comment posted in 2019.  The comment included a link that allowed me to add some data but no dates to the profile.

Can a pre-1500 Scotland researcher please take a look?

Many thanks.

I have added a research note to the profile, but it doesn't provide any answers that help date Robert Baird.

Recommend correcting his name to Robert de Barde. There are no records which spell his name Baird.

Recommend the removal of "Baron of Cambusnethan". It is not accurate.

Recommend the removal of the claim that Robert's father was Richard as there is no known father for Robert de Barde and no known children's names either.

Recommend removing the inaccurate & tertiary 1934 book, "The Bairds of Auchmedden and Strichen, Aberdeenshire" by John Malcolm Bulloch, page 2.

Recommend Biography post:  1315 x 1321 King Robert the Bruce, "granted, and by this present charter, have confirmed to our beloved and faithful Robert de Barde the whole of our baronies of Cambusnaythan with appurtanences."  Source:  # 79, Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum : The Register of the Great Seal of Scotland, 1306-1424, New Edition, 1912, p. 23 & 519.

Hope this helps.

Since the profile manager has gone inactive, it's probably best if the Scotland project or some other Baird/Bard researcher take it on.
