This clock has been in my family since 1800. It's dedicated to John Davis Pickard who died Nov 17, 1800. I don't know anything about the circumstances of his death, but would like to know. The clock passed down from the Pickard family to the Proctor, then Smith, then Churchman, then Hunter families. When the clock was willed to my great grandmother, the will said it was "in hope it would remain in the family." I have a copy of that will and the probate list of Ephraiom Pickard's estate. He was John's father.

What a lovely clock!  And how nice that it has remained in your family for such a long time. Thank you for sharing the photo.
