I'd be happy to know the source that identifies Mary Anne Freeman's first husband as James S. Ellison.  Many thanks!

I found a 1926 Ohio death cert. for a James Ellison (78), widowed - his deceased wife was a Mary E. Ellison. Trouble is, it says he was born 1854 which is after Mary was married to her second husband. Could it be a case of someone accepting the info just based on names, without checking the facts? Happens all the time!
