Help I can not remember how have the connected profiles count

Question

Help, I am connecting unconnected profiles ( at least this  what I think I am doing) but the counter for the  Connect-a-Thon is not  coming up.  I am in  a team ( Kiwicrew)  I have emailed the team leader but  have not  yet heard back. In the past I have not had any issues, but I must be missing out some step. Can someone please remind me how I can get the connected profiles to count?

Rose, the counter shows you have added one profile.  (Attaching existing profiles does not get points for the Thon event, even though it's great for the Tree!)

There is no "tracker button" to click for this event, it is counted automatically when you create a new profile from an existing one.
