The birth date on Profile, Von_Kalundberg-1 is four years after father's death, Profile, Glebovitj_av_Minski-1. Can a Pre 1500 Certified member correct this error?  Thank you.

I guess we would need to have the correct birthdate info and source in order to correct this properly.

Since the only reference is your relative's website, without a link, we don't have the info...

Sorry Joan but there are much bigger problems with this family group than just a difference in dates.

Firstly Valeska von Kalundberg appears to have incorrect parents as her name in no way matches her fathers.  I would recommend that she is detached from them and merged with the other wife of Sune Sverkersson, Unknown Kalundborg

Secondly the profile of her current father Volodar Glebovitj av Minsk, appears to have 3 other duplicate profiles that all need to be merged together.- Minsk-1, Of Minsk-2 and Duke of Minsk-2, though none of them have a correct LNAB.  I'm also not sure where the exact dates currently on Glebovitj av Minsk come from and exact dates are pretty rare in the Rurikid princes, so they need to be investigated.

Thirdly the mother of Valeska von Kalundberg, Rikissa av Polen is also probably a duplicate and recognised as being married three times, but not to Volodar Glebovich.

So basically this family group needs to be split apart.  I don't have time at the moment to do any of that, but hopefully someone from other projects may.

"Rikissa av Polen" = Richeza of Poland, Queen of Sweden, and Princess of Minsk. In Wikitree she is Piast-14.

... and Richeza was indeed married to Volodar Glebovich. "In ancient history research, Volodar was usually confused (among others by Nikolaj von Baumgarten) with the half-mythical prince Vladimir Vsevolodic of Novgorod" according to Wikipedia with source Historical Jounal from 1992.

Thanks Per, but it looks like the primary sources don't make the name of Richeza's second husband, who is also probably the father of Sofia, Queen of Denmark, very clear.

Charles Cawley in the Medieval Lands database has a good discussion on what the primary sources state and how different researchers have interpreted the information.  Scroll down to the end of this section

Although brief the article about Richiza in the Dansk Biografisk Leksikon also mentions that there are alternate views on who he is.

Although you are right, Volodar Glebovich appears to be recognised as the most likely candidate for her second husband, it probably needs to be marked as uncertain.

I'm not that much into this so I can determine how good those sources are.
But still I wanted to contradict that Rikissa wasn't married to Volodar when that seems to be one of the few things that are correct in that profile, as judged by obviously normally reliable secondary sources like DBL that you mentioned or Swedish SBL (entry for Rikissa here).

Discussing what is wrong in the profile is probably moot, as I guess nothing in this profile will be fixed anyway. Very few people can do that, and we are stuck with profiles where even obvious typos aren't fixed.
