Over 6,000 Barry profiles?? Wow!!

I have no Barry ancestors, but I have created several Barry profiles and I have edited others. My great-great grandfather was named William Barry Stetson, apparently in honor of William Barry, the husband of his great-aunt Esther (Stetson) Barry.

Namesakes can be a reason to get hooked into a One-Name Study.

"Barry Name Study" and Barry name lists on WikiTree sure has grown since I started in Nov 2014. Back then I believe we had only a half dozen "Barry's" on here.  Thanks everyone who added their Barry relatives and or improved the many profiles we now have from all over the world!!

My grandmothers maiden name is Barry.  The family is from Ballyheigue, County Kerry, Ireland.  She immigrated in the 1920s to the US.
