Province of New Hampshire & location table

Is "Province of New Hampshire" what we should use in locations? It appears so based on this spreadsheet. However, it does not appear in the location table therefore these are in a wikitree+ search as "unknowncountry" -- deathlocation="Province of New Hampshire" deathcountry=unknowncountry

The dates from the spreadsheet are Jul 4, 1776 - 1679

It looks like Utah Territory Jan 4, 1896 - Sep 9, 1850 is also missing from the table.

I added Province of New Hampshire and Utah Territory as historical entities in the table.

For any other additions, just ask.

If you are entering a location in New Hampshire, in a profile for example, Wikitree will typically offer you two choices: "someplace, New Hampshire, United States (1776-)"

or

"someplace, New Hampshire (-1776)"

If you select the second choice, prior to the Revolution, the entry will say "someplace, New Hampshire" without further designation, but it is understood that it was not yet part of the United States - yes it was historically a provincial entity, but that's not the WT usage.

If you select the first choice, ie after 1776, Wikitree will use the form to be "someplace, New Hampshire, United States"

In places where the location is not suggested to you, as in a Profile, follow that same pattern.

Yes, the spreadsheet is technically correct, and has engendered much discussion, but mostly I think it's there to confuse us…

"it was historically a provincial entity, but that's not the WT usage" - It may not be offered in the dropdown list of locations, but WT policy is to use the historically correct name, regardless of whether it is in the dropdown list of locations.

Per the WT style guide, you should use the historically correct location name at the time. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Location_Fields Depending on the time period, Province of New Hampshire is correct, as per the spreadsheet. Idk why Ales' location table doesn't list it. The fact that Province of New Hampshire is not included in the dropdown list of suggested names is irrelevant. That list is borrowed from familysearch.org and does not always offer the historically correct option.

I am guessing it is not in the table because no one has noted its absence and was in the right position to ask for it to be added. I am not the right person to make this request hence my question here.

(I would find it helpful if the spreadsheet locations were all in the table so that correct pre-1776 would not appear as an unknowcountry.)
