G2G: Has anybody heard of Grassy Flats, New York?

Years - decades ago, when I was much younger and a very sloppy researcher, I ran across the place name Grassy Flats in New York.  It was very unclear where that was.  I didn't write down where I saw that name but it has been in my head since and occasionally reappears and nags me.  I think a battle may have been fought there, maybe before the Revolution.  I just thought I take a stab at posting the question here and revealing what a terrible researcher I am in the process.

I searched through some gazetteers and all I could find was a Grasse River in Hamilton County; Genesee Flats in Livingston County, and Grass River in St Lawrence County. I think so-called flats were usually the area near a river or creek. New York State Library Digital Collections (ptfs.com)

There was also a book called "Grassy Flats" by an author who grew up near Elmira, so it could have been there if it was a real place. The main flats I found were German Flats and Big Flats.
