How do I print out my family tree

Once Family Tree is completed can any information be printed out? I have a family reunion coming up and would like to take it with me. How can I add others to fill in information that I do not have or be able to view this online?

You have more options for printing reports if you download a gedcom and upload it to a desktop genealogy program. However, there are several things to consider:

• You can download a maximum of 15 generations per gedcom. If you have lots of lines that extend past this, that means a lot of gedcoms: you have a theoretical maximum of 32,768 ancestors in the 15th generation.
• Middle names are a separate, non-standard gedcom field that may not import into your software.
• Sources are handled differently by WikiTree than by desktop programs. Sources are part of the biography and they are uploaded into the notes. All formatting (indents, bold, italics, and inline sources) show up with wiki code which makes reading difficult; this can be a bit of work to turn into an easily readable format.
• There are WikiTree specific fields, which may or may not be of interest. Some program allow you to suppress printing of fields, if desired, but you can also remove these (export the data from your software without these fields, and then import it into a new file).

Hi Dian,

Start by exploring the Tree apps tab on your profile. There's lot of options including printer friendly. Decide which one works best for you. You might want to consider doing one for each of your great grandparents or the ones most relevant for the reunion.
