This G2G question got me thinking:
https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1572506/military-sticker-for-ww1-black-watch-royal-highlanders?show=1572506#q1572506
It seems perverse that Irish and Scots are treated differently to the English and Welsh in that their stickers do not go down to county and town/village level.
So, can I suggest that the Scottish and Irish Sticker tabulations be amended/reprogrammed to show county and town. The four Irish Provinces emblems can be used (two more that the current Ulster and Galloway or we could go whole hog and use the 32 available flags. For Scotland the Saltire can be used where there is no county emblem. But, of the 34 Scottish counties, 7 have registered flags, and 2023 should see three further county flags established, namely Berwickshire, Banffshire and Moray. https://britishcountyflags.com/scottish-county-flags/
I would appreciate being able to add a sticker to Mary McLean's profile identifying that she was a Peterhead lass.
Well spotted, typo corrected. Thanks
If the change is accepted, the periodic “WT Family News”: email could be used to publicise the change, giving all Profile Managers of Scottish or Irish profiles a heads up. They can then make the change if they so wish. Simples.
