Need help in sorting out Plummer line.

I am trying to straighten out my Plummer line. It begins with Walter Plummer. It says that he was born 1616 and died in Barbados in 1639. It goes on to say he was married in 1642 and that his children were born between 1642 and 1648. Now it seems pretty strange that he got married and had four children after he died. Does anyone have another date of death for him? I have seen 1650, which fits, but I don't want a "just fits", I want the truth. Which brings up another question: if Walter is not my great grandfather, who is? Thank you.

The earliest known Plummer in my ancestry is Francis Plummer born in 1594.

He married Ruth Palmer in about 1618. They had a son, Samuel Plummer born 1619.

Samuel was born in Norfolk, England and died in Newbury, Essex, MA in 1702.

His daughter, Ruth Plummer Jacques was born in 1660.

She married Nathaniel Haseltine.
