G2G: I need help with a merge

I am trying to merge Kinley-370 into Kinley-223.  Default approvals have been received on both; however, when I try to  complete the merge the following message is displayed:

"We're sorry. One of these profiles is not Open and you are not on either profile's Trusted List. Although permission for the merge has been recorded, it would violate our privacy controls to enable you to complete the merge. Please post in G2G if you would like to discuss this. Thank you for understanding."

If a profile is not "Open" it cannot be merged. The first action might be to contact the profile managers and explain the issue. They might change the privacy (if appropriate) or complete the merge for you.

Kinley-223 has a green privacy lock, meaning only those on the trusted list can complete the function. The manager of Kinley-223 has not been active for some years. You will have to follow the unresponsive manager procedure.

Thank you for your help.  I have submitted the Unresponsive Manager form requesting that the profile be opened up for adoption.

You can also send a note to admin with profile ids once default time has passed. Just make sure they have documentation that they are duplicate.
