G2G: Are there differences between the Chrome and Firefox versions of the WikiTree Browser Extension?

Question

I seem to have Auto Bio in Chrome, but not in Firefox.

There is no option at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/wikitree-browser-extension/

to upgrade or reinstall, so it appears that I have the current version.

I am reluctant to Remove and re-install, as that will presumably reset all the options to the defaults.

Even in Chrome, Auto Bio just produces a little icon of a tree waving in the wind for an hour or more, and nothing else.
It worked on a friend's computer yesterday, so perhaps it's incompatible with older versions of Chrome. I'd prefer to have it in Firefox than to have to waste time installing a new version of Chrome!

Hi, Paddy.  It seems that you have two different problems, though I could be wrong.  I'll send you an email, because debugging on G2G isn't fun.
