Parents of William Clark ( 1790 - 1856 )

Question

My family has good records up to William Clark.  However, there are at least three theories on who the parents of William Clark are.  He married Elizabeth Isacks ( 1798 - 1836), and later Mahala Graham ( 1811 - 1888.)

Kentucky at least for Mahala Graham.

William L. Clark b. South Carolina as was Eliz. Isaacks.

One father given is: William Barnett Sr. Clark b. Pennsylvania.

Kevin, the information I have agrees with your comments on William and his wife.  William Barnett is one of the leads I've found in the past.  William (1790 - 1856) had a son named William Barnett (1845 - 1916) who was born and died in Sabine County, Texas.

We are hoping to find some sort of records to narrow our search, and clear up the question.  I appreciate any help this group can provide.

Ancestral Fille entry has him born about 1790 in Edgefield Co., South Carolina. He death is July 1856 at Fairmont, Sabine Co., TX.

Marriage to Elizabeth Isaacs 16 Mar 1812. Twelve children with Elizabeth Isaacs.

Marriage to Mahala L. Graham who was born 1799, she died about 1836.

For the United States 1790 Census index and images, that was taken in Edgfield, South Carolina, there was a title William Clark Junior in household of "William Clark Junior..."
