Why is it taking longer than 30 days for merges to be auto-approved?

I have several merge requests which have passed the 30-day auto-approval mark but still are not auto-approved.  I check every day so that I can perform the merges, but they still show "waiting for xxx trusted list to approve".  Did something change in the program or the process?

Here are 2 examples:

  • Bass-3589 (L) and Bass-1973 (R)
  • Bass-3588 (L) and Bass-950 (R)

Thank you for your help.

Jim

Remember that timezones may also play a part.  What is 30 days to you may only be 29 days in another timezone. :)
Hi Ros - yes, I took that into consideration.  These merges were submitted April 3, and now it's May 7.

Bass-1973 is a locked profile so the profile manager will need to approve the merge. Actually, she has not been active since 2017 so I suggest that you fill out the "unresponsive profile manager" form and admin will take care of opening the profile.

Check your other proposed merge and see if the same situation is preventing that merge.

I'm working on Pending Merges and have had to complete the UPM process on several, some merges have been hanging out for months because of inactive PMs.  What happened to the 30-day rule?

The 30-day rule should still be the case, unless one of the profiles is private.

Do you have some examples of proposed merges that haven't been auto-approved?

Jamie, I thought the 30-day rule was for all pending merges.  Thanks for setting me straight.  Some days it's not worth chewing through the leather straps. frown

Oh, jeez! I clicked on the wrong comment and gave myself a 'best answer' star ... you can't do that!  Somebody please unstar/destar? me.
Yeah, unfortunately, we can't let people that aren't on the TL of a profile merge that profile.

There are a few ways it can get merged -- you can request to be on the TL of the private profile, you can go through the UPM process, or someone on the Team can merge it.
