Looking for profile check over, pre-1700 German

I'm not the profile owner, but I've just completed a pretty extensive rewrite of this immigrant ancestor: [[Kirstaetter-9|Johann Martin Kirstaetter (1697-abt.1759)]]. I rearranged what was already there into a more narrative form and added some new information and sources.

I would very much appreciate it if someone would check it over and see if I have properly complied with the Germany Project and general guidelines. This is one I'd like to get right. One thing I have not yet included is category and project tags. I would appreciate suggestions as I'm pretty new to the use of those things.

Hello,

The profile is a nice read, thanks for improving it! I have made some minor modifications in the profile as per the below, as well as some minor feedback:

  • I've put all his given names in the first name field and marked him as no middle name, as this is the convention for German names for that period
  • Reviewed and updated birth location as per http://gov.genealogy.net/item/show/OBEERNJN49MG
  •  Added US category.
  • Created and added a category for Obergimpern, which the Baden-Württemberg team might like to review.
  • Looked at Obergimpern parish at Archion; however, it had a gap for 1697 (between 1674-1711). You might like to add a research note, that the record at Familysearch.org has no source image, and the original source should be evaluated.
  • The dates are sometimes abbreviated, sometimes written in full (e.g. July vs Jul)
  • Added the Familysearch-ID to the profile

It would also appear, as per https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Kirstaetter-9/890 that living patrilineal descendant exist. Maybe they can be encouraged to take a yDNA test, eventually helping to back the paper trail with another source.

Best regards,

Sven

I found and included the original birth record. And gave some notes about the date in it.

Might need a check if the language is ok.

Also the LNAB of the mother is NOT Ursula. This is actually her second first name whereas her LNAB is unknown. We might have to change that.
Oh dear, I hadn't noticed that yet. I knew that Ursula was a given name not a surname, however, I didn't create Anna Ursula's profile. I see the same user carried the problem on to her father as well, all without sources. I don't know how to fix an incorrect LNAB. I'll add it to my task list. Thanks for catching that!
This is something only the profile manager can do. You should try to make contact and ask him to do it, or at least to put you on the trusted list.

If he does not reply after some reasonable time you may file a request to transfer the profiles into your custody.
