G2G: DavidFox ---- Help Needed

Question

Here is What I do know:

• Born in Pennsylvania about 1822
• 1860 lived in Jefferson, Durango, Dubuque, Iowa, USA
• Died 26 Sep 1869 • Jefferson, Dubuque, Iowa
• Served in the Union during the Civil War as a member of 21st Regiment, Iowa Infantry Company F
• Rank In Private
• Possibly died of TB
• Married Amanda Mallory
• Had multiple children (8), but not all are on his WikiTree page.
• Amanda returned to Toledo with the kids after he died.
• I know this because I have DNA matches that tie to Amanda, but we (family that has tested) have no matches past David and Amanda.

An update

Helping my Paternal 2nd cousin with her DNA and at least one match has ties to the assumed father that Ancestry suggests. Problem is we can't find paperwork to verify this match.... And we have tried.
