G2G: Mistake in profile, how to remedy

Question

Somehow I created duplicate profiles for Frederick Renninger, and he is listed as both father and brother of Adaline Renninger Beck. The brother relationship is an error. How can I fix this problem?  Re Adaline_Renninger_Beck_238_Frederick_B._Renninger_239

Remove a sibling by editing the parents - go to each parent and under Children click on add/remove child, follow the prompts.

Hi Maureen.  If I am seeing this correctly, there appears to be just one Renninger-239 who was inadvertently set as his own father (and therefore both the father and brother of Adaline).  If Frederick is actually the father, and Adaline has no brother, then I think you should be able to fix it by going to the Edit screen of Frederick's profile, in the Edit Family section on the right side, and just removing him as a child.  (Click the Add/Remove link, follow the instructions, and Save.)

If (after resolving the sibling issue) you actually have two profiles for the same person you can merge them. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Merging#Merging_duplicate_accounts
