G2G: Am I interpreting these pre-1752 dates correctly? [closed]

I've found a Massachusetts baptism record dated 23 Aug 1724, and a death record for an infant with the same name and parents dated 12 Mar 1724. Since, as I understand it, the calendar year rolled over on March 25th prior to 1752, am I correct that these two records can be for the same person?

Yes, 12 March 1724 was later than August 1724.

Thanks for confirming.
