I wanted to share this photo of an angel statue located in Greenwood Cemetery New Orleans. This cemetery opened in 1852, just in time to take the burden off of other cemeteries as Yellow fever ravaged the area. Many that lost their lives in the summer of 1953 have no grave marker. With aprx. 8,000 deaths, mass graves were needed. I'm posting this picture and have started a free space page in honor of these dear souls. New Orleans 1853 Yellow Fever Epidemic
