Seeking confirmation that he arrived on either the Griffin in 1634 or another ship in 1635.

Not that I know of. John was an early settler of Rhode Island. He is in my wife’s line and there is some indication that my ancestor, Thomas Lynde, and John may have been on the same ship in 1634.

His Wikitree profile is here

Although the 1903 NEHGR article quoted their suggests he may have come on the Griffin with Anne Hutchinson's party, it seems there is no record of him in New England until 1639. That date is also the one given by Robert Charles Anderson in his Great Migration Directory.
His Wikitree profile needs tidying and facts tracing back to original sources.

I am a descendant of Thomas Lynde who arrived on the Griffin in 1634. I just learned that my wife is a descendant of John Peckham. It seems possible, perhaps likely, that our descendants came to America on the same ship. What are the chances of that???
The work cited by Andrew above is considered the most thoroughly researched. Unless there is further research published since the directory by Early New England Families research group or Great Migration newsletter, then arrival prior to 1639 would be quite doubtful. The 1903 NEHGR article is considered by NEHGS as out of date and supplanted by the later research.
Thank you both for your research. What I have learned is that my ancestor, Thomas Lynde and John Peckham each had a connection with the Hutchinson Party. Thomas arrived on the Griffin with the Hutchinsons and John connected with the Hutchinsons in Rhode Island. For my wife and I this is quite a discovery. Hope that one day, we will learn more about John’s arrival.
Wow, interesting, I always “assumed” you know what they say about that—that it was true that John Peckham arrived with Ann Hutchinson…
Thanks for posting!
