G2G: New member introducing myself

My name is Larry Stuart. Middle name is Dean. I was just browsing Wikitree a few days ago & found a tree with most of my family line from Scotland included surprisingly. It began with a James Stuart who was settled in Mississippi. My sources from a great uncle in the state of Indiana had a different fathers name for James & a grandfather in Scotland named James Stuart also. So there is some discrepancy at that end I hope to resolve at some point. I have an extensive tree listed on Family Search.com which I may port to this site in the future.

Welcome aboard, Larry!

I hope you will consider adding your family branches to the global tree. If you do, consider checking out the project list. Projects are a great way to learn more and collaborate with other members. The Scotland project might be a good place to start.

Come back here to the forum if you have any questions.

Welcome to Wikitree, Larry.  The Stuart line is pretty extensive in Scotland and is frequently being researched by the project.  Consider joining the Scotland Project via the G2G Sign Up in a few months. The Tartan Trail will help you learn about Wikitree and Sources to find information for Scotland ancestors, but it does expect you to be on Wikitree for a few months.  Please review the link for information about the Trail and review some of the information on the Scotland Project page.
