G2G: Please delete category..maybe [closed]

Question

Please delete this category...Category: 1870 US Census, Davis County, Texas

The Census page I based creation on said Davis county at the top, but I now know Davis county does not actually exist anymore. According to what I read, Davis County only existed from 1861 and 1871. It was Cass County before, and Cass County after.

Or do we keep Davis County for only that 1870 Census year???! If so, I may need help with the top level categories.

Thanks, Gurney. I'm very confused by this and edited my original post. Does Davis County, Texas need to be created for the 1870 Census only?

Okay, what I did was delete the 1870 Cass County census category also and I will leave this one for the category folks to sort out.
