You know who you are.  I found this guy on a nicely written SAR membership app.  Go get 'em.

... and while you're there, check out Lt Col Sam'l McCobb and Lt. Col. Dummer Sewall.

Found/ added a few related sources.

Chris - good job.  Your sources added important info that led to expanding his family.  I took a stab at a category. American Revolution categories are hard. crying

I added some for Col. Sewall as well, b, m, d and military.

Samuel McCobb has a WT profile, but not identified as a Revo War colonel - he was a busy guy.  I added his war records, a sticker, and a category.  McCobb and Sewall are both linked to John Decker in his SAR app. section.

added to his profile.

At least it all confirm's his promotion/rank as Colonel

This is interesting: Majorbagaduce ... Major?, a place?

That's how it's written in the text   and ...

Majabigwaduce was the Penobscot name, meaning “large tideway river,” for what is now known as the Bagaduce River at and above Castine. (in Maine)

Penobscot Expedition on July 25, 1779 was the largest American naval expedition of the war. The fighting took place on land and at sea around the mouth of the Penobscot and Bagaduce rivers.
