What you may be used to seeing on other profiles, is inline citations, which is a little more advanced.
For example, try this on the edit page. It will look a bit confusing when all the text and sources are added together. While on the edit page, click the "enhanced editor" button below the input box. This will enable highlighting that should make it easier to understand what is going on.
