Ron, how do you know when/where she died? That information is in her profile, but no source for the place is given. It looks like an SSDI record is cited, which would be a source for the date she died, but the profile only shows her first name for the source, with no link to the record and does not show any information that is in it. I could not find it on familysearch, nor could I find any other records that look like they would be her death - not findagrave or obituaries or any others - even looking outside New York.
You certainly have a good question! I think I would start by contacting the member who created the profile, who is currently active (click the Changes tab on the profile to see who created it). Perhaps she has better information about where the sources can be found.
