Here are some highlights of things that happened around our community in May:

News:

• We reached 1 Million active members! Stu Ward predicted within the hour when we would hit that milestone.
• We're talking about a proposal for a Hold Request Research Note Box.
• There's discussion about an Early American Immigrants project.
• There was a big announcement on CC7s for Notables!
• See the highlights from the mitoYDNA WikiTree Challenge and the NEGHS WikiTree Challenge.
• Learn more about "pop-ups" and "show and tell" events.
• Steve's Cemetery Mapping app got an update as did Kay Knight's BioCheck app.

Member highlights:

• Danny Gutknecht, Suzy Cairns, and Ian Beacall became Project Coordinators.
• Gwyneth Taylor became a Team Leader.
• Kenneth Guerin, Betsy Ko, Ian McArthur, Alison Breton and Fiona McMichael were interviewed and featured as Members of the Week.
• Norman Jones was awarded a Super Star. 
• Darryl Gautreau had the biggest increase in his CC7 this month.
• Nine members received Community Stars, 32 received Family Stars, and 33 received Generous Genealogist badges (see here, here and here).

Projects/Events:

• You can still help RAWK a fellow WikiTreer.
• There were several Pop-Up Challenges that you can still try out - Everest, USS Arizona, Scavenger Hunt, Coronation Day, Kentucky Derby, Mother Goose.

There's 34.5 million profiles total on WikiTree. (That number is always available on the front page for WikiTree).

Totally agree, May was amazing for WikiTree! Massive congrats to our new Project Coordinators and Team Leader, and a big shout-out to all our fantastic members. Reaching 1 Million active members is just super cool! Love all the different projects and challenges happening too. And yeah, our Discord server is just loads of fun, great for some real-time chat with other members. Can't wait to see what the next months bring!
