Looking for an 1859 birth in Antwerp, Belgium

Is it possible to find a birth Record for Charles Malberg, born ca 1859 in Antwerp to parents William Malberg and Minare de Bor?

I don't know how anglicised any of that spelling may be and how much it may vary from the original spelling. These details are from Australian documents.

I don't know if the Belgian Archives website is just difficult to use (it keeps reverting to Dutch even though I'm trying to use the English portal), if the records for the period are not indexed or if I just have no idea what I'm doing but I can't find anything useful at all.

There are a lot of records for Antwerp at FamilySearch, quite possibly the same ones as the Belgian Archive, but these may be a bit easier to use.

Creating a short Flemish wordlist, ie translate the titles of the various records, would be helpful. There are 10 year indices for the various types of records. The Flemish spelling of Malberg may be quite different.

Thanks Leo! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be him as I now know he married in Australia in 1885.

The former answer in Felixarchief gives his correct birthday  11 August 1869 and place Uelsen, Russia, this must be right. The Antwerp birth indexes 1850-1960 don't mention the name Malberg see https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9RGZ-XG?i=18&cc=2138481&cat=57707 image 19

Geneanet gives him also https://nl.geneanet.org/fonds/individus/?ignore_each_patronyme=&ignore_each_prenom=&type_periode=between&exact_day=&exact_month=&exact_year=&sexe=&nom=malberg&ignore_each_patronyme=&prenom=CHARLES&prenom_operateur=and&ignore_each_prenom=&place__0__=ANTWERPEN&zonegeo__0__=Antwerpen%2C+Belgi%C3%AB&country__0__=BEL&region__0__=ANT&subregion__0__=&place__1__=&zonegeo__1__=&country__1__=&region__1__=&subregion__1__=&place__2__=&zonegeo__2__=&country__2__=&region__2__=&subregion__2__=&place__3__=&zonegeo__3__=&country__3__=&region__3__=&subregion__3__=&place__4__=&zonegeo__4__=&country__4__=&region__4__=&subregion__4__=&type_periode=between&from=1859&to=1900&exact_day=&exact_month=&exact_year=&go=1

Thanks Greet!

This is very interesting but unlikely to be him as I now know Charles was married (giving his first name as Celli) in Australia in 1885.
Hello Mark,

Yes so he would have been 16 when he married, but I think he was one of the Russian immigrants who passed Antwerp to take the Red Star Line or other shipping company. So he got registered in the Antwerp police archives as 'stranger' (=vreemdeling). The name doesn't sound Flemish to me nor the name of his mother Minare de Bor.
What date is this record from? I’m afraid I don’t have a geneanet subscription so the details are not visible to me.

Also on his marriage certificate he used the name “Celli”. Does this sound any more or less Flemish?

His mother on the marriage record is referred to as Minnie, which is a bit more normal sounding. Her surname may be Bord on this document.

Could it be that the name was written Muhlberg instead of Malberg, this is more a German name that exists see "Belgique, Anvers, index de police de l'immigration, 1840-1930," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JSTH-5ZS : 19 February 2021), Charles Muhlberg, 1901-1915; citing Immigration, Antwerpen, Belgium, p. 527, Stadsarchief Antwerpen Belgie (Municipal Archives), Antwerp.

Charles Jan Màlberg Immigration 1901-1915 Antwerpen, Belgium 1869 Uelsen, Russia 103717 004331462 731 43927 43927

so this gives his birth in Uelsen, Russia in 1869 and immigration via Antwerp where he stayed from 1901 till 1915

on Geneanet I found a ceratinMina Bor living in Hengelo, the Netherlands but married to a different person Jan Hendrik Rake, but the name is found in The Netherlands
