What a fascinating Egyptian adventure we've just completed. If we learned nothing else, we learned that when staying in Egypt, always book a room on the first floor. It turns out that Egypt has a phenomenon called "defenestration" which is defined as "the act of throwing someone out a window." It's a tragic fate at least three of our Egyptian notables met. Of course, the government declared all three to be accidents, but I've lived around windows my entire life and I've never accidentally fallen through one!
This time around we connected four of our notables to the Big Tree, including President Anwar el-Sadat, Olympic diver Farid Samika, and feminist leaders Huda Sha'arawi and Doria Shafik. In addition, we added more than 120 new Egyptian profiles to WikiTree. Great job team!
Now off to Panama...
