Is there a way I can add / access the profile ID of someone I want to mention in a profile without exiting the page and going to the page of the relative I want to link to, then copying the link?

Hi Donna,

It sounds like you want to add a link of the form: [[Pavey-459|Ralph Edgar Pavey (1891-1958)]]

As you say, going to the profile page of that person is an easy way to do it but it is not required. Here are few tips:

  1. You could open their profile in a separate tab or window to copy the link - that way you don't have to exit edit mode on your other profile.
  2. You can type in the link manually. All you need to know if the wikiId of the person that you want to link to and remember the correct format with the [[ and | and ]]
  3. If the person that you want to link to is a parent, child or sibling of the person that you are editing then there is an easy way - when in edit mode, at the top right of the page, there is a section "Edit Family" which has links to the family members. If you hover over any of those links there is a popup that lets you do the "Copy Wiki Link" action.
