Error 872 - In-line citation error

I have this error: d cvr 8087; n cvr 8087 ;<ref name cvr 7880 >:;</ref>,n cvr 8087 ;n cvr 8087 ;n cvr 8087 ;<ref name cvr 7880 />,n cvr 8087 ;<ref name cvr 7880 />;|;|;|;|r

There are two references 7880 and 8087 in sources. They both go to the same paid site. Is this a False suggestion?

They are probably 2 different page numbers on the paid site.

My question is: What is the proper solution?

Take out the spaces in front of and after the equals signs on each one, so it reads ref name="cvr 7880".

Thanks for your help. Not all of the references were written equally. Some had missing = signs. I got it fixed by copying and pasting the original to the others and adding the /.

Possibly not.  Every single one *still* has the spaces before and after the equals sign ie
<ref name = "cvr 7880"/> - this is yours
<ref name="cvr 7880"/> - this is how it should be

OK. I understand now. I just have one more question before I change them all after my break: Do I need a space after the quotes like in the example in WikiTree Advanced sourcing:

<ref name="birth certificate" />  ?

Thanks for sticking with me until I get this right.

There should be a space between the end " and the slash.

Thanks Melanie. I just wanted to make sure. I am ready to redo the references now.

OK. With everyone's help, I feel confident I got it right this time. Thanks to all.

Cheers,

Ralph

I looked quickly at the profile and saw that you have a space following the "=" sign on some (but not all) of your <ref> tags.

Example:  <ref name = "cvr 8087">

The space is required before the name, but is specifically not to be there surrounding the "=" sign.

Correct:  <ref name="cvr 8087">

I appreciate your help. I got it fixed. Not all of the references were identical. Some had missing = signs. I made sure they were the same by copying the original and replacing the others by pasting and adding the /.
