I think he is mentioned in 1679 and 1682 in the weeskamerarchief (records of the orphanage of Sluis) as Jacobus Donckers (website zeeuwsarchief.nl and then go to Zeeuwen gezocht).

The record of 1679 mentions Johannes, Michiel, Cornelis and Jacobus Donckers, who had a guardian Hendrijck van Heuren, husband of their deceased sister Maria Donckers. They were the children of Pieter Donckers and Christina Bigge.

In the record of 1682 brother Johannes Donckers is mentioned as guardian of his younger brothers Cornelis and Jacobus Donckers because their brother in law Hendrijck van Heuren had passed away.

Donckers is a very common name in Belgium too, I've some in my tree.
