Felix and Susan(ah) Hickey seem to have moved from Ontario to Oswego about 1852-3 with several children; they first appear in the 1855 NY census. I've found no records for them in the Ontario records available on-line. A son John may be the same John who joined the crew of the whaling bark Milwood in 1857 for a voyage to the Indian Ocean. He, in turn, may have jumped ship in the Seychelles and married a local girl and be my g-g-grandfather. All this is circumstantial, so it would be nice to find a DNA match with a known descendant of Felix and Susan.
