I have a ancestor profile who was identifed in the 1850 slave census in Pike county, MS as having two slaves. I have not been able to identify probable people as slaves. Shall I categorize the profile as a slaveholder without identifying any associated slaves or just leave it without the slaveholder category?

Yes, if they are listed in the slave schedule, we categorize them with the county level slave owner category.
