G2G: Suggestions News and Updates (June 4th 2023) [closed]

News

• Continued rescan of the external links, that were ok in initiall scan. This week I updated a few dead domains with thousands of links. I also made some minor improvements to the link scanner to get less false suggestions.

Previous News

• I added new suggestion 971 Missing image indicating a use of an image in the biography, that doesn't exist.
• Made some updates to the Location table for Scotland.
• Switched reports for Scotland from Location filter to Country / Regon filter so it is based on recognized locations.

• Updated the category member's history report to remove the profiles thet were removed from the category.
• Added a link on WT+ on Category items (search and navigate pages) to category history report. It is a link on letter T next to the location pin after the category name.
• Added gender to WT+ search index. You can now search for Male, Female and NoGender

This seems to be a link to a search engine. I don't really see a point in linking to a search engine unless the link points to actual record.

This site also doesn't return the results on a record links like this long link. There are

returns the same record. Maybe this is something for the Sourcerer or the WBE to handle. Or maybe even beter a External Link Template, that would have 2 parameters (uid and coid).

I prefer the search result format to the "hikashop" one which is literally a shop asking for money, not only for a full transcription but even for some of the basic details.
