I am trying to read this birth record and having some difficulty. I believe it says twins were born and one was stillborn. The other was baptized.

Were there 2 boys or a boy and a girl?

d. 28 juli foddes i Hagestad....

I am not sure if you know this, but I believe it says one was dödfödd = born dead/stillborn.

The important parts have already been said, but just in case you want it the complete text is:

d. 28 Julii föddes i Hagestad Tvillinge drengebarn af hvilka det ena var dödfödt. fadren Husman Nils Larsson modren Karna Nilsdotter. det lefvande barnet döptes d. 29 ejusdem dess namn Lars

"On the 28 July twin boy children were born in Hagestad, of which one was stillborn. Father was the husman Nils Larsson, mother was Karna Nilsdotter. The living child was baptized on the 29 of the same month; his name is Lars."

"TvillingeDrengebarn", so two boys.

By the way, it says the mother is "Karna Nilsdotter", but in the wikitree entry it says "Svensdotter" so that seems to be wrong. (I haven't examined that further.)

I will follow up on that. I hadn't noticed the difference in the mother's names.
