G2G: Advice before editing this pre-1700 UNKNOWN profile?

Question

I have information to contribute to the profile of Mary Margaret (UNKNOWN) Stegall.  The last name at birth is listed as UNKNOWN and it doesn’t provide a link to be able to change the last name. I contacted the profile manager and he is not able to change it either. 

Is it locked because the birth year of this person (Mary) is pre-1700. Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects for help?

What do you want to change it to, and what is the source or evidence supporting the change?

The profile manager cannot do it because he is not pre-1700 certified.  You are, but you are going to have to be on Mary's Trusted List before you can do it.  There is a link on her profile so you can request this.
