For fun and curiosity I'd like to see how I connect to Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan, Alasdair Mòr Mac an Rìgh, 1343 - 1394.

Click on the Find menu at top right, then on Connections.  Enter your Wiki-ID and the ID of the other person.  If there is a connection through profiles here on Wikitree it will show up.  Someone that far back probably has millions of connections by now, but it’s also probable that many of the people linked to them are inaccurate.

Is this the profile you mean? Alexander Stewart Earl of Buchan

If so, go to his profile (or any other profile) and at the top right of the display, just to the right of "My WikiTree", is a drop down item, in this case it says Stewart-1007. In that list find "Relationship to Me" and it should be able to find your connection.
The more developed your own tree is, the better the information (and more connections) will be.
