How can I delete an unsourced child's profile?

I adopted an unsourced profile imported from gedcom files in 2011 for an infant of my ancestors. I copied the information in the body of the profile to both parents profiles as research notes. The child lived for about a year, between US federal census, and there are no records. Can I delete the profile?

This is a record from the early days of WikiTree before guidelines were placed on GEDCOM imports.  If the child only lived for about a year, it is possible that no records might exist for valid reasons based upon where this family lived.  Unfortunately you can't prove nor disprove that this child existed. I think the research notes you have noted on the child profile are appropriate, but I wouldn't detach the child.  You could add research note on the parent profiles to note the unsourced child versus the confirmed children.

No, we can't delete profiles.  Write to the admin team at info@ wikitree.com and see what they say.  They are the only people who can do the deleting.
