G2G: I added name before adoption and cant get back to the original family treen

Question

My info is Paul Oulton and had tree built with Mom and brothers and sisters. I put in my last name Kenny pre adoption and looks like my original tree is gone? Is there a person to chat with about fixing

Hi Paul,

Looks like you have only added a profile for your mother. Is it possible that you have two accounts? If so, they will need to be merged. If not, do you think you connected to existing profiles?

Please provide further details so members can help you.

Adopted persons are permitted two accounts - one for their adopting family, and one for their biological one.

It looks like you need to read the page at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Adoptees:_How_to_Set_Up_Your_Profile especially the section What if I Want to Have a Biological Family Tree AND an Adopted Family Tree? As someone adopted you are allowed a second profile and the instructions on this page will help you have both a Biological and Adopted tree.
