NSW BDM source citation, SUGGESTION - connection error - what is going on? [closed]

I am following the Australia project guidelines for BDM NSW

I have used this format and in my suggestions am receiving: 

12030 Connection error (Receive)
http://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/lifelink/familyhistory/search/marriages                                                              What have I done wrong, because this I have used this format NSW BDM  on many other profiles (as per project guidelines), and to get this message for every profile is surely (going to be) surely a waste of time and energy?   (a bit frustrated here!)  My issue is the suggestion error. Thanks

Hi Shoshanah. This was probably a temporary error, perhaps only visible from Aleš's server, at the time the WikiTree link checks were running. Since the link does work fine, you can mark the suggestion as fixed: hopefully it will not recur. If it does recur, mark it false.

Aleš may be able to label the site as a well-known stable one where such errors are spurious and should not be reported. This might save time for many WikiTree members. To draw his attention, you could edit your question and add the tag  ales  .

Looking at this more closely, I see that you are using an http: link. This does seem to be incorrect. Try changing to

https://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/lifelink/familyhistory/search/marriages

with https instead of http.

I will but the link that I have used is taken direct from the suggested Australian citation, but I have taken note of your advice, and thanks for bring the https to my attention.  

The link that I provided goes to the required page (BOTH links work with http or https), so I was not getting what the fuss was about!

If the link on the profile was the same as the link in the question, see Darren's answer.  That extra space at the end of the url does make a difference.

Melanie, looking at the profile shows that the link there does not have a trailing character. It's only present on the G2G question.

The link on the Profile is not what is on the linked space page. That is more likely why Shoshanah has received the suggestions. The difference is http: on the profile version and https: on the space page version.

The link on the profile and on the space page do not go to the same page. The space page link is working. What may have occurred is an errant space has appeared in the link on the profile making the link not valid.

Note this is tested from New Zealand.
