I read that some French Canadian names changed when they came to America. I am at a dead end with my great grandparents; Joseph Labonville and his wife Georgiann Bonnard.

Joseph La Bonville (son of Joseph La Bonville and Phileman Bargeon) married Annie Bonnard on September 22, 1894.

On Michigan Marriages, " her parents are listed as Louis Bunnard and Minnie Gadarie " ...
Annie is the daugther of Louis Bonin and Emilie Gadory
